Sun & Sand
The long golden stretch of beach at Corralejo is called Playa Grande. The coastal breeze here is great for experienced windsurfers, but may be too fresh for some. Likewise, the diving and swimming are also superb, but the currents can be strong and care must be taken.

Food & Wine
Restaurants offer a wide range of local and international cuisine and often make use of the plentiful supply of fish bought at the nearby harbour.

Corralejo, Fuerteventura’s largest resort, has a winning combination – an idyllic beach stretching for 11 km, and situated just 3 km from the resort centre, plus the best nightlife on the island. Located approximately 36 km from the airport, the original fishing village is still the heart of the resort surrounded by tasteful modern buildings. Corralejo is really well known for Baku waterpark. Glide along the lazy river, or if you're feeling more energetic, hold onto your swimwear as you ride the kamikaze, zig zag, wavepool or venture into the black hole. There are kids pools and smaller slides for the little ones, too.

Why not go by boat to the Isla de Los Lobos, or take a ferry across to Lanzarote? As well as trips around Corralejo being on offer, those who like to keep their feet on dry land can explore the huge array of unspoiled sand dunes to the east.
